Tottenham Hotspur defender Serge Aurier is still at the club, but may have a move ‘ready’ for the end of the transfer window.
That’s according to Football.London’s Tottenham expert Alasdair Gold, who has been speaking about Aurier on YouTube.
Gold suggested that, with less than a week of the transfer window to go, Aurier and his representatives believe a move away from Tottenham is on the table.
“There seems to be a belief from Aurier, and I’m told his agent as well, that they have something ready for him,” said Gold.
The Ivorian right back joined Tottenham in the summer of 2017, arriving from Paris Saint-Germain as a replacement for Kyle Walker following his move to Manchester City.
Aurier has blown hot and cold throughout his time with Tottenham.
Often dangerous going forward, Aurier is also prone to a lapse of concentration at the back, and has never been able to nail down the right back spot as a result.

Right now, he finds himself as third-choice right back at Tottenham. Japhet Tanganga holds that role at the moment, whilst Matt Doherty – who played under Nuno Espirito Santo at Wolves – is the backup.
With less than a year remaining on his £70,000-a-week contract, Tottenham would no doubt love to get rid of Aurier and bring money in before he leaves for free.
It’s unclear just who wants to sign Aurier, but a parting of the ways is certainly the best thing to do, as Tottenham won’t be looking to offer him a new deal.
Never quite able to live up to the hype in four years at Tottenham, Aurier would leave as a true enigma who divided opinion.
