The Rangers winger made his debut for Steven Gerrard’s side at Ibrox last winter.

The Rangers winger, Serge Atakayi, has thanked loan club, Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho, and their fans, ahead of his return to Ibrox.
Atakayi has spent the past two months away from Rangers, scoring or assisting twice in 10 games for his temporary employers.
But the winger will now head back to Glasgow in time for Steven Gerrard’s side’s pre-season campaign.
Posting on Instagram earlier, Atakayi wrote:
“I just want to say thank you very much SJK! Really enjoyed playing for such an amazing team! I wanna say again the players and staff are amazing And A message to the fans I just want to say thank you klopit for support you give every single game you are amazing fans and hopefully we see each other again I wish the best of luck to players, staff and fans for the season ahead I will always follow SJK!! Thank you time to back in blue “
A 2016 signing from SJK’s Finnish rivals, FF Jaro, Atakayi made his long-awaited Rangers debut against Motherwell last November.
But the 20-year-old’s bow was short-lived, and ended in an ankle injury that kept him out for the best part of four months.

And Atakayi could have his work cut out trying to break into Gerrard’s plans for next season, with wingers Daniel Candeias, Jamie Murphy, Jordan Jones, Jake Hastie, Eros Grezda and Glenn Middleton also on Rangers’ books, with Sheyi Ojo reportedly set to join them.
Can Atakayi make it at Rangers?
