Speaking on the Sky Sports Football YouTube channel, Aaron Ramsdale has been discussing some of his toughest opponents, and inevitably, Diogo Jota’s name came up.
Ramsdale has been one of Arsenal’s best and most consistent players this season, but for some reason, he’s struggled almost every single time he’s come up against Liverpool.
The goalkeeper named Jota amongst the world-class players that have shown him up over the years, stating that he’s been made to look like an idiot by Jota this season.
What’s been said?
Ramsdale was asked about which world-class players have gotten the better of him.
“Never have I ever been rinsed by a world class opponent?” Ramsdale was asked.
“How high do I put this? Ronaldo, Aguero, Vardy. Jota – oh he sent me to the shops didn’t he? Rinsed. For a goalkeeper there are some goals that you look at and think they’ve made you look like a plonker really,” Ramsdale said.

Nemesis
Ramsdale may only have been at Arsenal for a few months, but Jota is already becoming a bit of a nemesis.
The Portuguese forward has scored no fewer than four goals against Arsenal this term, while he also netted three against the Gunners last term – albeit Ramsdale wasn’t at the club at the time.
For as long as Ramsdale is Arsenal’s number one, he may struggle to cope against Jota. After all, it seems as though the north London outfit are the striker’s favourite opponents for some reason.
