Speaking on Stadium Astro’s YouTube channel, Joleon Lescott has said that Dele Alli should be considering joining PSG.
Alli has long-been linked with a move to the French capital, and as you can imagine, the rumour mill has started up again this week after Mauricio Pochettino was linked with the vacant post at Parc Des Princes.
Lescott says that Alli needs to get his career back on track and playing under Pochettino again at a new club may be exactly what he needs.
“For Dele Alli, he needs to find a way to rejuvenate himself and kickstart his career again, because two years ago he was considered one of the biggest talents in the Premier League,” Lescott said.
“He was instrumental for England, and with the Euros in the summer, he’s gonna want to play a number of games to get a rhythm to get a chance of getting back in that squad. PSG would be a great opportunity for him to do that, with them looking to win titles and compete in Europe.
“That would be a sensible move for all parties, because he knows the manager, the manager knows what he brings to the table, so in regards to Dele Alli’s short-term future, it would make sense for him to look at that option.”

Lescott is spot on.
Alli needs to rediscover the form that saw him win two PFA Young Player of the Year awards earlier in his career, and perhaps the best way to do that is to work under a manager who knows how to get the best out of him.
Of course, playing at PSG represents a different challenge to playing for Spurs as the Parisiens are expected to run away with Ligue 1 each season, so playing a side where he’s likely to play for a dominant team could do his confidence the world of good.
The January window opens next week, and Alli has been tipped to leave, so we’ll have to wait and see whether or not he ends up playing for PSG.
