Some Aston Villa fans on social media have been drooling over Ollie Watkins after his fantastic performance against Tottenham Hotspur.
The striker was unbelievable against Spurs, and while he scored what proved to be the game’s winning goal, his performance was about so much more than just his strike.
The attacker was continuously harrying defenders, running his socks off and allowing Villa to play high up the pitch.
Watkins has been incredible in his debut season for Villa, and he continued his knack of scoring goals against big clubs by netting against Tottenham after scoring a hat-trick against Liverpool and a brace against Arsenal earlier this season.
The striker’s performance certainly won’t have done his chances of getting into the England squad, that is due to be announced next week, any harm, and after netting 14 Premier League goals this season, it’s hard to argue against Watkins being in the England squad.
Villa supporters were understandably in awe of Watkins’ performance, and they’ve been raving over the striker online.
