Some Leeds United fans on social media have been drooling over Ian Poveda’s performance against Liverpool on Monday evening.
The game may have been overshadowed by the news of the formation of a European Super League, but to be fair to the players, they remained professional and did their jobs as if nothing was going on.
In any other circumstances, we’d be praising Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Liverpool in the same way we gave them credit for their 2-1 win against Man City last week, but unfortunately, the news cycle has correctly only been dominated by one story.
However, fans did point out one good performance on Monday evening.
Indeed, supporters were full of praise for Ian Poveda after the youngster shined in his cameo appearance against the Reds.
Poveda made his first appearance since January, and he picked up where he left off, showing a combination of great pace and dribbling skills, causing all sorts of problems for opposition defenders.
