Sergio Reguilon may have missed out on Spain’s squad for Euro 2020, but the Tottenham star is enjoying some downtime with a footballing legend.
Brazil great, Roberto Carlos, posted on Instagram that he spent a ‘sensational day’ with the Tottenham defender, with Reguilon labelling him as ‘phenomenal’.
This is what Carlos posted about the Spurs man yesterday: “Sensational day to be with you my friend @sergioregui and my brother who couldn’t be missed also @ronaldo thank you for the love always.”
Tottenham fans will be hoping the Real Madrid great can provide Reguilon with some tips for next season.
And if he can take a leaf of his book then Tottenham will be in for a treat next season.
But despite Tottenham’s struggles, both on and off the pitch, Reguilon is perhaps one of the very few shining lights.
He didn’t end the recently concluded Premier League campaign in a strong fashion, especially that game against Aston Villa, but his debut campaign in English football was pretty strong.
That’s added in with the fact that those in North London are in decline, and the man that brought him to North London – Jose Mourinho – was given the boot.
All in all, he is one player the supporters will be looking forward to next season.
