Sean Longstaff played on loan for Kilmarnock from Newcastle United in the second half of the season.

Newcastle United are ready to offer Sean Longstaff a new professional contract, according to The Chronicle.
It has been reported that Newcastle have been impressed with the performances of the 19-year-old midfielder during his loan spell at Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock.

The talented and promising midfielder joined Kilmarnock on loan from the Magpies in the January transfer window until the end of the season.
Longstaff played well for Killie and scored three goals, and it has been reported that Newcastle will offer the teenager a new contract.
According to The Chronicle, the Magpies will loan out the youngster again in the summer of 2017 for the 2017-18 season, with League One club Bury claimed to be interested.
It would be a smart move from Newcastle. Longstaff is good enough to play for the Magpies in the long term, but at the moment he is not ready for Premier League football.
Playing for a League One club or a Championship outfit during the 2017-18 campaign would help the youngster improve his game and develop as a footballer.
