Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are both interested in signing Everton’s Anthony Gordon this summer.
According to Ben Jacobs, Spurs are willing to spend £35 million on luring the player away from Merseyside before September comes.
And Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol revealed last night that Chelsea are ready to drop a staggering £60 million on the 21-year-old winger.
Gordon is an Everton academy product with a little over 50 Premier League appearances under his belt.
And Simon Jordan has told talkSPORT that he cannot quite believe how much money the Toffees could make on the Finch Farm graduate, after hearing the West Londoners could spend that much on him.
He said: “£60m for Anthony Gordon? Send him in a cab. Quick, before somebody actually wakes up and smells the coffee. £60m!”

There’s no doubt that Gordon is a massive talent but, by the same token, Jordan is right.
For a player with four goals and three assists in 52 Premier League outings, it’s a ridiculous overestimation by Chelsea to drop that amount.
Then again, clearly the Blues are wealthy enough to finance such a massive-money transfer in spite of Gordon’s lack of achievement.
He could go on to become the next Wayne Rooney, in which case the Stamford Bridge outfit will have pulled off a bargain.
However, he could also become another Ross Barkley or Jack Rodwell, a promising young player who left Goodison Park far too soon and spends the rest of his career trying to find the player he could’ve become.
