Jose Mourinho will be desperate to see all of his Tottenham Hotspur players return unscathed from international duty.
That’s a bit difficult these days because not only are players more susceptible to injury due to the increase in schedule this season, but there’s also a virus that has swept the globe and contracting it puts footballers out of commission for two weeks.
With that in mind, Mourinho will have been majorly sweating over Son Heung-min recently.
The Tottenham attacker, whose side face Manchester City next weekend, is away with South Korea right now and a number of Son’s international team-mates have tested positive for the virus.
But according to the Korean FC, the 28-year-old has tested negative.
Here’s how Spurs fans have responded to Alasdair Gold’s update on the former Bayer Leverkusen star – and suffice to say, they aren’t happy in the slightest.
Son has 10 goals and five assists across all competitions this season and if Mourinho’s side are going to beat Man City next week, they absolutely need him available.
