Derby County loanee missed a crucial late penalty against Reading.

Derby County made a peculiar decision back in August when they decided to loan striker Chris Martin out to Fulham.

Returning boss Steve McClaren made clear he did not think a lot of the decision made by predecessor Nigel Pearson, telling The BBC he would like to bring him back.

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic has been reluctant to allow this to happen, with Martin a first team regular for the London side.

Martin missed a crucial last minute penalty in Fulham’s 1-0 defeat to Reading last night, seeing his effort saved and costing his side two points in the process.

It came just days after his penalty miss in the clash against rivals QPR at the weekend, although he at least made up for that by going on to net an equaliser in the 1-1 draw later in the game.

Fulham fans were not impressed, and some even called for the striker to be sent back to Derby County. Here is a look at the reaction to his miss…
