Yaya Toure’s agent is continuing his war of words with the Manchester City boss.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola
Yaya Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk has told Sky Sports that Pep Guardiola should prove himself by managing Sunderland.
Guardiola has made a winning start to life at the Etihad stadium since arriving at the summer, winning all of his games so far.
He has already stamped his authority at the club, ousting big name players such Joe Hart and Yaya Toure.
Toure’s absence has infuriated his agent Seluk, who is now in something of a war of words with the City boss.

And now he has hit out at the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss by claiming he hasn’t proved himself and should move to Sunderland to do so.
“If Pep wants to prove himself as a great manager, then he should go to Zaragoza or Sunderland,” he told Sky Sports.
“Let’s see how good he is when he doesn’t take over a great team and hasn’t got half-a-billion pounds to spend. Could he do what Claudio Ranieri has done at Leicester or Mauricio Pochettino has done at Tottenham?”

It would certainly be interesting to see how Guardiola would fare managing a club such as Sunderland.
He has been accustomed to working with the world’s best players in his career as well as the ability to spend large sums and that has played a big part in the success he has enjoyed.
He would have neither at the Stadium of Light and it would be intriguing to discover just how much of an impact his world renowned philosophy has on a team without that level of talent.
