Tottenham Hotspur should consider making a move for the Roma ace, if they sell the Belgian.

According to a report from the Express, Spurs star Toby Alderweireld’s future in north London is uncertain to say the least, and the Belgian could be sold to Manchester United for around £60 million – not bad business for Tottenham, considering the fact that he is on the wrong side of 29.
If Alderweireld does leave, Tottenham will obviously have to bring in an able-bodied replacement, and a fantastic option for them could be Roma ace Kostas Manolas, who has a €36 million (£31.7 million) release clause inserted into his current contract with the Serie A outfit, according to Calcio Mercato.

The Greek centre-back is two years younger than the Belgium international, and is widely considered to be one of the best central defenders in world football.

Tottenham are a club who need to cut their cloth accordingly, especially with their expensive move to their new stadium, so the opportunity of making close to a £30 million profit by selling Alderweireld, and signing Manolas, is one that that they should not hesitate to grasp.
