Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira is reportedly the subject of an £8 million bid from Cardiff City.

After making his debut in Steve Evans’ final game in charge, Vieira undoubtedly proved that the sky-high expectations regarding his potential were justified during Garry Monk’s tenure as he was superb as the Whites came within touching distance of a play-off place.
A successful Toulon Tournament campaign followed – with the midfielder scoring the winning penalty in the final – before a much more underwhelming season where he struggled with fitness issues that helped restrict the 19-year-old to just 23 starts in the Championship.
Nevertheless, The Sun on Sunday reports that Neil Warnock is keen to bring him to Cardiff and the club are preparing an £8 million bid for the teenager. It remains to be seen what Leeds make of the offer.

Of course, it would be a huge blow for Leeds to lose Vieira. Though he was not at his best last season, his potential could be frightening and there is arguably no better midfielder in the Whites squad when the England under-20 international is on form. He was, of course, the first player to sign a contract extension when Radrizzani became the sole owner of the Championship side.
Selling for £8 million would be terrible business in many fans’ eyes, but to let him leave for any price for a team led by Warnock would be real sickener for the Elland Road faithful.

Warnock is a pantomime villain to many supporters of various clubs, but he is especially disliked by a large section of the Leeds fanbase after a hugely disappointing tenure a few years ago.
Seeing Vieira realise his potential elsewhere will be tough enough for the Leeds supporters, but Andrea Radrizzani should expect the biggest of backlashes if he considers selling the midfielder for a seven-figure fee to Warnock’s side this summer.
