Leeds United should no longer be considering any offers for Chris Wood this summer.

Leeds manager Garry Monk

It’s fair to say that Andrea Radrizzani’s start at Leeds United has not gone exactly according to plan.

Radrizzani had wanted to offer Leeds some stability, by getting Garry Monk to agree to new terms.

However, Monk’s departure has rocked Leeds and they have still not recovered.

Leeds have still not found a new manager to take over from Monk, and doubts are beginning to emerge of Radrizzani.

Although the Italian owner retains the bulk of Leeds’ fans support, there are doubts beginning to emerge over his ownership.

And the worst thing that Radrizzani could possibly do now is to sell Chris Wood.

Leeds are set to face a fight to keep hold of Wood, with no fewer than seven Premier League teams chasing the striker (Daily Star).

But if Radrizzani wants to prove that his ambition matches the supporters’, he is in a position where he cannot afford to cash-in on the New Zealand international.

If Wood was to go, it would only serve to create further doubts about Radrizzani.

And Leeds new owner must prove that his is willing and able to keep the Whites best players Elland Road, if he is to prove that things will be different under his leadership.
