Liverpool have every chance of winning their first league title since 1990 this season.
Liverpool currently sit pretty at the top of the Premier League table, four points clear of second placed Manchester City, but should Jürgen Klopp be looking to freshen up his options during this month’s transfer window?
The simple answer to that question is yes, but what would be the perfect scenario for the Reds this month?
Two outs:
Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge are clearly not trusted by Klopp, and if the German could sell both players this month, he could fetch around £30-40 million for the duo.
Tottenham are interested in signing the Belgian, according to the Telegraph, whilst the experienced Englishman is constantly being linked with an exit from Anfield.
Neither are consistent enough to make a difference for Liverpool, so Klopp would surely not miss either of them, if they were to leave Merseyside this month.
Nabil Fekir in:
The France international is allegedly a long-term target for Liverpool, and according to a report from Italian publication Calcio Mercato, Klopp is back in for him this month.
Fekir has been absolutely on fire since the start of the 2017/18 campaign, notching up an impressive 32 goals and 13 assists in 61 appearances in all competitions for Lyon.
The Mirror claims that the Ligue 1 outfit value the 25-year-old at around £50 million, and in today’s day and age, that would have to be classed as excellent value for money.
If they do manage to procure around £30 million for Origi and Sturridge, they would easily be able to afford the Frenchman, especially considering the fact that they have already received £19 million for Dominic Solanke.
Liverpool are already a wonderfully exciting team to watch, but if Klopp manages to add Fekir to his options this month, they might just be unstoppable.
