If Liverpool sell Coutinho, they should be looking at Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.

The Mirror report Liverpool want as much as £160 million for the attacker, a huge amount to spend on a potential replacement.
But if they wait, the perfect Coutinho replacement could be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, Alexis Sanchez.

Sanchez has allowed his Arsenal contract to run down and is into the final months of his deal. There is currently no sign of the two parties coming to any sort of agreement.
Liverpool tried to sign Sanchez in 2014 but were snubbed by the Chilean, although his decision to join Arsenal has not really worked out.
He has won two FA Cups but has fallen short of a title challenge on each occasion, and looks further away than ever.

Unlike Arsenal, Liverpool qualified for the Champions League and are into the last 16. The Reds are currently six points ahead of the Gunners in the Premier League.
It appears to be time for Sanchez to try a new challenge, and linking up with Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah would make for a potent attack.
Liverpool would be no worse off, and arguably better off, while gaining £160 million too.
If the raid on Arsenal for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was a little underwhelming, Liverpool moving for Sanchez would be an unbelievable deal.
