The Leeds United striker continues to be linked with a summer exit although the Whites will surely keep hold of him.
According to a report from the Mirror, Leeds United have put a £20million price tag on Chris Wood in a bid to ward off suitors. The problem is, in the current inflated market that represents a bargain and there will be clubs willing to pay for a 25-year-old prolific goal-scorer yet to reach his peak.
Instead the Whites should issue a hands-off warning, because selling the New Zealand international would undo all the great work Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani has done so far this summer.

Wood’s goals were not enough to secure a play-off place for the Whites last time out, but he now has the teammates who can push the club to the next level, with Samu Saiz, Caleb Ekuban and Ezgjan Alioski adding considerable threat to Leeds’ attack.
There is a feelgood factor back at Elland Road following Radrizzani’s takeover, Thomas Christiansen’s appointment as manager and a summer of spending that may not be over just yet.
Leeds have set about signing the players they need to strengthen key areas of the squad, and if they can bring in another centre-back and a left-back it will be a job very well done.
Selling Wood at the end of that would be ridiculous and for that reason alone Leeds fans can surely rest assured that it will not happen.
The rumours will persist, with Swansea City, Southampton and Stoke City all said to be tracking the 25-year-old according to the Express.
But even for £20million Leeds would be shooting themselves in the foot selling their top striker when they are on the verge of what could be their greatest season in years.
