Tottenham Hotspur have entered the race for Norwich City sensation Ben Godfrey, report The Mail.

The young centre-back has caught Spurs’ eye after a series of excellent performances in the Championship.

Norwich’s promotion strengthens their case to keep Godfrey.

That’s why selling Godfrey to Tottenham now would be a mistake.

A year in the Premier League will not only make Godfrey a better player, it will make him more marketable for Norwich.

The Canaries would be weakening their side by letting the 21-year-old leave, undoing their hard work this past season.

Without top flight experience, there is a cap on how much Norwich can realistically demand from teams for Godfrey even if they wanted to sell.
