Italian giants Inter Milan have joined the race to sign Newcastle United’s Ayoze Perez.

According to a report from The Northern Echo, Inter Milan are preparing a formal offer to sign Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez in the comings days.

The report states that the Nerazzurri want to secure the deal early and will make an offer immediately after Newcastle United’s last game of the season against Fulham on Sunday.

Perez has been in fine form this season having scored 11 times for the Magpies in the Premier League so far. The Spaniard has revealed that he will consider his options in the summer and the Magpies will do well to keep him at St James’ Park beyond the end of the season.

The Sun has revealed that Arsenal and Inter Milan’s Serie A rivals Napoli are also keen to sign the Spaniard in the summer while Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for him. However, Newcastle selling Perez to one of the Serie A clubs makes more sense and it would be a huge win for all parties involved.

Perez has a release clause of £25.7 million in his contract which would be enough for the Magpies to reinvest the money on a replacement. The 25-year-old will also get his wish to play in a European competition with Inter or Napoli and Newcastle will be relieved of the fact that their star will not come up against them anytime soon.

Selling Ayoze Perez to one of the Serie A clubs is a win to all parties involved and Newcastle should push for this move to happen over a switch to Arsenal and Tottenham in the summer.
