Tottenham fans have reacted on Twitter to Ben Davies’ comments on Harry Kane amid rumours he wants a move to Manchester City.

Kane, his agent, Spurs, Daniel Levy and Man City are dominating the latter stages of this summer transfer window, with no real movement or a clear idea of what will happen next.

One thing is for sure, Kane won’t be part of the Spurs squad that has travelled for their Europa League conference tie in Portugal.

One man that is part of that touring party is left-back Davies, who was asked about the Kane situation.

The Welshman told Football London that Kane is ‘one of the world’s best strikers’ and they ‘definitely’ want him to be part of their team.

Those comments are fine, but it’s Davies’ next set of words that have left some Spurs fans baffled.

When asked whether he has spoken to Kane, he issued this response: “Yeah, as mates more than anything else.

“It’s probably a blessing when he just gets to chat to us, not about the whole business side and not about his future. There’s been no real chats about what’s happening.”

Tottenham fans have questioned what on earth Davies means by saying that it is a ‘blessing’ when Spurs players get to talk to Kane.

Some are suggesting that points to the England striker being able to get away with his recent actions and him being defended by his teammates.

A lot has been made about Kane previously missing training and how he has been perceived by the media compared to if a Paul Pogba did exactly the same, as the likes of Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Jamie Carragher debated on the Overlap.

But, at this moment in time, he is still a Spurs player and he should surely be ready for that weekend clash against Wolves.

Here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to Davies’ comments on Kane:
