Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Dennis Cirkin, Jamie Bowden, Dane Scarlett and Marcel Lavinier will all be in his side’s squad tonight, in an exclusive interview with the club’s official app.

Tottenham are due to take on Wolfsberger AC in the Europa League later this evening, and all four of the youngsters have travelled with the squad.

Mourinho has now confirmed that his intention is to put them all in the team.

Scarlett and Cirkin have both appeared on team sheets before this season, but this is a totally new experience for both Bowden and Lavernier.

And Mourinho feels that the youngsters will benefit from the experience, even if they don’t get on to the pitch.

“The good thing is that in the Europa League we can have 12 players on the bench, so you travel with 23 and all of them are on the bench,” he said.

“It’s a good opportunity for some of the kids to be [in the squad] and when they are there is always a chance that they can play.

“So, Cirkin is selected, Scarlett – and the first time for Marcel and for Bowden, which is good for them and the others because it gives them that window of hope.

“In the Europa League you can bring this kids and even if they don’t play it’s a great experience for them.”

Scarlett may well be getting used to being with the first-team now, despite only being 16.

The teenaged striker is very highly regarded at Tottenham, as he has scored so frequently.

Cirkin has also been publicly praised before by Mourinho, and there is real hope that the left-back could develop into a first-team star of the future.

Lavinier, meanwhile, is a defender who shows plenty of promise and Bowden plays in a defensive midfield role.
