The former Tottenham Hotspur striker was impressed by Thiago’s performance against Southampton on Saturday.
The Spain international midfielder scored in the 37th minute and was simply superb for Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side won the Premier League game at Anfield 4-0.

Big player for Liverpool
We know that Thiago is a classy player.
The former Barcelona midfielder plays with grace and is very skilful.
The problem with Thiago at Liverpool has been his injuries.
The £20 million signing from Bayern Munich (BBC Sport) was injured for a long spell last season.
It is never easy for any player to get back to his best without getting a run of games.
Thiago is now playing regularly for Liverpool, and we are seeing the benefit.
