Gabriel Magalhaes has told Nuno Tavares on the player’s Instagram that he will be ‘cheering’ for him after Arsenal loaned him out to Marseille.
The Arsenal centre-back added ‘see you soon’ to the young left-back, who leaves on-loan just 12 months after he was purchased by the north London club.
Whilst the previous campaign started off in a steady fashion for the £8 million signing (Sky Sports), when it came to the crunch moments, things started to go south for the player.

When Kieran Tierney was out injured and Arteta needed cover at left-back, rather than turn to his bona-fide option, he instead handed those keys to Granit Xhaka.
Therefore, it shouldn’t be surprising that Tavares is allowed to head out on-loan to Ligue 1, with Gabriel posting in the comments section of the player’s IG: ‘Let’s go my brother. Cheering for you’.
Gabriel also posted a message in the comments section of Arsenal’s Instagram post on the player’s exit, with the words, ‘See you soon, bro. Love you’.
WILLIAM SALIBA AN EXAMPLE FOR TAVARES
William Saliba spent last season on-loan at the French giants and it’s fair to say that he has taken his game to another level.
Tavares will be hoping for that same level of improvement because it needs to be remembered that he is only 22 and he is still in the progression stage of his career.
The only issue for the player is Kieran Tierney is Arsenal’s main left-back and Oleksandr Zinchenko has just been purchased.
Both of them aren’t even at the peak of their powers yet, so if Tavares doesn’t make improvements, then his career at the club could be over before it even started.
