Aston Villa fans made their feelings for Tammy Abraham perfectly clear on Sunday.
Dean Smith’s side welcomed Chelsea to Villa Park but there was no sign of the exiled striker with the travelling squad.
Abraham helped fire Aston Villa to Premier League promotion during the 2018-19 campaign.
And the home support chanted his name in Sunday’s victory over Thomas Tuchel’s side in a gesture that found its way to the player.
Here’s how Abraham reacted to the Aston Villa fans’ song on Twitter – and how the supporters then responded.
Interestingly, the 23-year-old has been linked with a return to Aston Villa.
But according to The Telegraph, the Londoners are looking for £40 million and at that price, it seems doubtful that the Villans will be able to afford him.
Besides, Ollie Watkins enjoyed a fine first season at Bodymoor Heath and finished up with 14 Premier League goals – including a hat-trick against Liverpool.
Smith definitely needs another striker during the summer, but not one to play ahead of the former Brentford marksman.
