‘See you at Spurs shortly’: Some fans react to potential Jose replacement’s latest result

It was only a few weeks ago that Julian Naglesmann was being touted as the next Tottenham Hotspur manager.

According to The Telegraph, the 33-year-old German coach is high on Daniel Levy’s shortlist of potential replacements for Jose Mourinho.

But things have improved in a big way at Spurs and Mourinho seems to be getting much more of a response from his players – particularly Gareth Bale.

And now some Tottenham fans are mocking Nagelsmann on Twitter.

His Red Bull Leipzig side lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the Champions League last night as the 2019 winners moved into the quarter-final of the competition with a 4-0 aggregate victory.

The Reds are struggling in a big way in the Premier League and have only won five of their last 16 games in that competition.

But two of those victories have come home and away against Tottenham and some fans of the North London club are joking that an inability to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side makes Nagelsmann the perfect man to replace Mourinho.
