If there’s one positive from Euro 2020 being over for Arsenal-supporting England fans, it’s that it could accelerate Ben White’s move to the Gunners.
Journalist Pete O’Rourke revealed on Friday that White’s presence in the England squad was delaying a deal from being done.
Charles Watts, who exclusively covers Arsenal for Goal.com, claimed on his YouTube Channel on Saturday that the North Londoners were still ‘very, very confident’ of signing the former Leeds United loanee.
The 23-year-old defender watched on from the sidelines yesterday as Italy beat the Three Lions on penalties to win Euro 2020.
And although White has admitted that he was ‘gutted’ by the end result, he is proud to have been involved.
But some Arsenal fans think the £50 million-rated powerhouse is now set to join Mikel Arteta’s side, with the European Championship no longer a distraction.
