Pedro Caixinha’s Glasgow Rangers recently brought Bruno Alves to Ibrox.

Progres Niederkorn midfielder Sebastien Thill has suggested to The Scottish Sun that Bruno Alves is the only Rangers player he knows about.
Luxembourg National Division club Niederkorn will take on Scottish Premiership outfit Rangers in the first qualifying round of the Europa League for the 2016-17 campaign.
Thill, who is 23 years of age and has played nine times for the Luxembourg national football team, has suggested that the only Rangers player he has heard of is Alves.
Pedro Caixinha’s Rangers recently competed the signing of Portugal international central defender Alves following the 35-year-old’s departure from Italian club Cagliari at the end of the 2016-17 season.

“I looked at the Rangers squad but I must admit I don’t know much about them,” Thill told The Scottish Sun. “I know all about their past and the success they have had in Scotland but the current team has changed a lot.
“They haven’t been in Europe for a long time so it is difficult to keep up with all the changes at the club. In the past, you knew some Rangers players because of the Champions League but that was a long time ago.
“I read that they have signed a lot of Portuguese players and obviously everyone in Europe knows Alves. It is good for us that he won’t play in the games as he is a very good defender who has played at a high level.
“But after that, I don’t know a lot about the Rangers players, so we will have to study them in the next week.”
Rangers do not have any world-class players or footballers who are household names, but in due time, the Glasgow giants will regain their former glory.
The Gers returned to the top flight of Scottish football only at the end of the 2015-16, and it could take them two or so years to start competing with Old Firm rivals Celtic for the Scottish Premiership title.
