Queens Park Rangers beat Norwich City 2-1 in Ian Holloway’s first match in charge.
Sebastian Polter has told Queens Park Rangers’ official website that it was clear to see how happy Ian Holloway was after he guided the R’s to victory in his first match in charge.
Holloway has taken over from Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at Loftus Road, and he could hardly have got off to a better start.
QPR beat promotion chasing Norwich City 2-1 on Saturday, and they put in an excellent performance during the contest.
Conor Washington fired in Rangers’ first goal in the early stages of the match, before Polter added a second.
Norwich did grab one back, but QPR held on to claim victory and Polter was delighted the way his new manager reacted.
“The gaffer was so happy at the end,” the striker said.
“He had some nice words to say to us and he was so proud to lead QPR to a win after 18 months out of management.
“QPR is all that he cares about in football. He loves this club and we want to build on Saturday and give him many more happy days here.”
QPR’s victory over Norwich was their first for four matches, with Holloway’s appointment seemingly breathing fresh life into the London club.
Rangers are currently in 13th place in the Championship table, and they sit just four points back from the play off spots.
QPR are next in action on Saturday, when they take on Ipswich Town at Portman Road.
