Liverpool supporters have been left gutted after it was deemed likely that Jordan Henderson will be missing until mid-March with injury, according to the Daily Mail.
Henderson hobbled off during Liverpool’s last match against Everton at the weekend, as he suffered an adductor problem.
It is now thought that Henderson will not be back any time soon.
Liverpool are expecting him to miss their Champions League game with RB Leipzig in the middle of March.
And Reds fans are now fearing the worst about which direction their season is heading in, with another key player sidelined.
Liverpool have been extremely unfortunate with injuries this term, and Henderson’s absence could hardly have come at a worse time.
With the Reds so badly out of form, Klopp would have been looking towards Henderson’s leadership to guide his younger players through a difficult spell.
However, Liverpool will now have to find a solution to being without their captain over the coming weeks.
The Reds are next in action at the weekend, when they take on struggling Sheffield United.
