Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff is impressing in the Premier League.

Newcastle United have a real feel-good factor at the moment, and midfielder Sean Longstaff is a major reason for that.
The Magpies beat Huddersfield Town 2-0 on Saturday afternoon, with Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez getting on the scoresheet, whilst Miguel Almiron turned in a superb debut display.
Newcastle fans were again impressed with Longstaff though, with the 21-year-old starring in the heart of midfield yet again.
The youth team graduate was making a 13th appearance of the season, and has now seemingly nailed down a place in Rafael Benitez’s side after a series of fine displays.
Now, Longstaff has received a much-needed update on FIFA 19, with his overall rating jumping from 64 to 66, and his potential up from 78 to 80.
Longstaff has been giving upgrades for short passing, dribbling, long passing, ball control, stamina, interceptions, composure and marking as his form has been recognised.

However, Newcastle fans may still have reason to be confused, as Longstaff’s overall rating still leaves him behind Achraf Lazaar and Rolando Aarons, who have just been loaned out to Sheffield Wednesday.
Even his potential is shy of Ayoze Perez and DeAndre Yedlin, despite Longstaff already being a key player and looking set for a huge future with Newcastle.
It’s understandable that EA don’t want to go overboard and make Longstaff incredible after a handful of games, but it would be little surprise to see another update come very quickly, which pushes Longstaff towards the 72 overall, 82 potential mark.
