Newcastle United produced one of the shock results of the weekend on Sunday, as Steve Bruce got his first win in charge.

Newcastle picked up a shock win away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, and at full-time Longstaff turned to look at the away end.
The celebrations that he saw really impressed the £50 million (ESPN) Newcastle central midfielder.
And he said: “You saw the reaction that got from the crowd, which was unbelievable. The travelling fans were immense once again. You can see what it meant to them and to us at the final whistle.”
Newcastle had gone into the game against Spurs facing a lot of criticism, after losing their first two games of the season.
However, Steve Bruce’s side were hugely resilient at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as they picked up the three points.

Joelinton scored the only goal of the game with a well placed finish, as Newcastle finally got their season up and running.
The mood around Newcastle has now been lifted significantly, with Bruce’s side in action again tomorrow against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.
