Ibrox club Rangers sold Kelly to Scottish Premiership rivals Livingston in the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper had been on the books of Rangers since 2006, but the youngster failed to break into the Gers’ first team, and had loan spells at East Fife and Livingston in 2016-17.
The Scottish youngster is set to feature for Livingston in their Scottish Premiership match against Rangers away from home at Ibrox this afternoon.
Ahead of the game, Liam Kelly’s elder brother, 25-year-old Ross County defender Sean Kelly, has suggested that the 22-year-old could return to Rangers in the future and establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the Gers.
Sean Kelly told The Scottish Sun about Liam Kelly becoming the Rangers number one goalkeeper in the future: “That’s a possibility, absolutely.
“There’s obviously a long way to go for that to happen, but Liam has the ability and mindset.”

Rangers exit a blessing
Kelly has been superb for Livingston so far this season and is one of the best young goalkeepers in the Scottish Premiership.
The 22-year-old is playing regularly at the moment, and leaving Rangers has enabled him to do that.
