Goss made his first appearance of the season as Queens Park Rangers’ U23s ran out 3-2 winners over Burnley U23s earlier this week.

Sean Goss has endured a difficult start to his career at Queens Park Rangers but, after completing 45 minutes for the U23s on Monday, it appears the central midfielder is primed for a return to the first-team.
Goss has suffered with injuries since signing for QPR, but it looks as though the 22-year-old is nearing full match fitness; giving boss Steve McClaren another useful option in midfield.
The former Manchester United hopeful played the first-half of the R’s win but all that remains important at this stage is Goss’s fitness. A back injury has kept the midfielder out of action and Rangers fans will want to see him back as soon as possible.
After a dreadful start to the season, QPR have got some much-needed points on the board and a couple of clean sheets to boot. With that said, first choice central midfielders Massimo Luongo and Josh Scowen have not been up to their usual high standards and Goss should be intrigued.

Scowen missed the Birmingham City game citing a slight injury but the curious case of Luongo’s sub-standard performances certainly goes on. Jordan Cousins has been used occasionally by McClaren but now it could be Goss’s time to shine.
The German-born player has only managed six appearances for QPR since signing in 2017 and although he had an indifferent loan period at Glasgow Rangers, McClaren and co. must nurture Goss and get the best out of him. A permanent member of the first-team certainly beckons if Goss can maintain his fitness and show his true talent.
