Rangers snapped up Sean Goss on loan earlier this month.

Rangers new boy Sean Goss has told The Scottish Herald that he has been comparing the club to Manchester United to his new teammates.

The Gers are working hard to bring in a host of new signings this month, and have already tied up two new additions in Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy.

Whilst Murphy – a Rangers-supporting winger arriving from Premier League side Brighton – has unsurprisingly grabbed the headlines, Goss was the first one through the Ibrox door this month.

Goss, 22, was born in Germany but started out his career with Exeter City before heading to Manchester United in 2012, spending four-and-a-half years at Old Trafford before joining QPR last January.

The midfielder went to Loftus Road to play first-team football, but has played just six times since making his move to West London, and now finds himself seeking playing time with Rangers.

Goss will be hoping to break into Graeme Murty’s side amid competition from Ryan Jack, Jason Holt, Graham Dorrans and others, and he has been discussing his move to Glasgow.

Goss has told The Scottish Herald that he knew he wanted to join Rangers as soon as they came calling, understanding just how big the Gers are as a club.

Goss even revealed that he has been telling his new teammates that he feels Rangers are similar to Manchester United, in terms of being a massive club with huge fanbases.

“I’m delighted to be a Rangers player. When I heard about the opportunity I knew Rangers was the place I wanted to be,” said Goss. “I knew quite a bit about the club anyway because it’s a massive club and everyone knows all about them in Scotland and England. Being at Rangers feels the same as it did at Man Utd. I said that to some of the boys. I knew right away I was at a massive club,” he added.
