Sean Goss has told The Herald that he is excited to take on Celtic again this weekend.

Goss spent time on loan at Rangers last season and went toe to toe with Scott Brown in a 3-2 loss for the Gers.

Sadly for the QPR owned midfielder, the Old Firm game was the moment his Rangers loan began to unravel, as he lost his place in the team thereafter.

Goss clashed with Celtic midfielder Brown during the defeat, but he does not believe it will be an issue this weekend.

He said: “That’s just football. It happens on the pitch all the time.

“It’s not something I really look at to be fair, I’m just out there on the pitch trying to get a job done.

“We had some words but that happens all the time on the pitch, it was nothing serious.”

Goss is right to play it down, as the last thing he should be doing is riling up Brown ahead of the tie.

Celtic are heavy favourites for the game, which they host at 1.30pm on Sunday.

The game is a big opportunity for Goss, 23, to turn his career back around with some positive momentum by inspiring the underdogs St Johnstone to a shock win.
