Everton and West Ham United have both been chasing Burnley forward Andre Gray this summer.
Sean Dyche has told the Burnley Express that Burnley no longer have any need to sell any key players, which could be bad news for West Ham United and Everton in their chase of Andre Gray.
And although Dyche wouldn’t rule out a departure, his comments suggest that West Ham and Everton will have to pay big if they want to prise Gray away from Turf Moor.
Dyche said: “We’re not under any pressure to sell anyone, that’s obvious. “You just never know with the shifting sands of the market. You think you can control it but you can’t really. Are contracts really worth what they’re meant to be worth? You can never say never.”
Gray was Burnley’s top scorer last season, and it is highly unlikely that he would be let go cheaply, despite his contractual situation.
West Ham’s need for a striker has been reduced following the arrival of Javier Hernandez, but Gray could offer strong back-up.
Everton, on the other hand, are known to be in the market for a forward as they look to replace Romelu Lukaku.
Everton have brought in Sandro Ramirez and Wayne Rooney, but are yet to find a prolific number nine to replace Lukaku.
