The French international put in a nasty looking challenge on Stephen Ward.
Tottenham Hotspur have picked up a hard-fought win against Burnley in the Premier League this afternoon, with goals from Dele Alli and Danny Rose earning Spurs all three points.
The winning goal was inspired by another strong cameo by the improving Moussa Sissoko. He set up the left-back for the winning goal in the 70th minute, just eight minutes after replacing Mousa Dembele.

But he also made a challenge that should have seen him sent off just before the goal. The French international put in a rash challenge on the Burnley left-back Stephen Ward that looked a clear red-card.
The fact he then grabbed the assist for the winning goal rubbed salt in the wounds for Burnley and their manager Sean Dyche was not happy about it after the game
Speaking to the BBC he stated:
“The lad Sissoko, he has to go off, and he sets up their goal for the winner.
Obviously, I am very disappointed on behalf of my plyers for that because they’ve worked their socks off and played same good stuff today. They deserved something from the game.
“If you look at my player’s reaction to a clear sending off he gets up and gets on with it.

“If he does 14 rolls on the floor the refs under pressure. I don’t’ want my players doing that but I don’t know how were going to get these decisions because that’s a clear red card.”
There is no doubt that Ward helped Sissoko by not over-reacting to what was a sickening tackle from the Spurs star.
Spurs fans will know they got lucky with the decision not to send off Sissoko but the bonus was yet another impressive display from the controversial summer signing from Newcastle United.
