Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic reportedly wanted Sean Clare before he left Sheffield Wednesday for Heart of Midlothian in the summer transfer window.

Sean Clare was linked with a move to Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic before he joined Heart of Midlothian after leaving Sheffield Wednesday.
Clare left Wednesday in the Championship at the end of last season and joined Hearts in the Scottish Premiership in September 2018 on a free transfer.
According to TEAMtalk, Celtic were among a number of teams who were looking at signing the 22-year-old attacking midfielder on a free transfer in the summer.
Leeds United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Rangers were also reportedly to be interested in the young attacking midfielder.
Clare was in action for Hearts in their Scottish Premiership match against Celtic away from home at Celtic Park on Saturday afternoon.
The 22-year-old former Wednesday attacking midfielder started the match and played for 73 minutes.
The Englishman struggled to make an impact for Hearts and failed to play well against a club who reportedly wanted him in the summer.

Clare has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Hearts’ defeat to Celtic at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday afternoon.
