Everton defender Seamus Coleman scored on four occasions for Ronald Koeman’s side.
Seamus Coleman has told Everton’s official website that he keeps getting stick from his teammates at Goodison Park over his celebrations after scoring.
Coleman may not be a regular on the scoresheet, but when he does find the back of the net, he usually shows a great amount of aggression.
Coleman is not known for choreographed celebrations, as he prefers to let his emotions show when he does find the net.
And the Republic of Ireland international admits that some of his Everton teammates are starting to jokingly criticise him for his celebrations.
“I do look very aggressive but deep down I’m very happy when I score,” Coleman said. “It’s a great way of letting out a bit of emotion, too. If you’re having a bad game or getting a bit of stick you can score a goal and let those emotions out.
“I get a bit of stick from my teammates because they come to celebrate with me and I just run away but I can’t help myself.
Coleman scored four times for Everton in Premier League action last season.
The right-back is expected to be a key part of Koeman’s plans next campaign, as Everton look to push on.
The Toffees finished in seventh place last term, but they are hoping to push into the top four next time around.
Everton have already spent big this summer, with more new arrivals expected in the coming weeks.
