The Everton veteran is full of praise for the West Ham United man.
Everton’s Seamus Coleman is hoping to see Josh Cullen make waves at West Ham United next season.
The West Ham midfielder could make his full Republic of Ireland debut against Gibraltar in Dublin tonight.
The Everton defender is set to captain the Boys in Green again, and Coleman says that he has been hugely impressed by Cullen’s introduction to the international scene, describing him as ‘different class’.
He told Sky Sports: “He’s been different class, he is just very brave wants to get the ball back and pass it forward, he has been impressive and he’s a great lad around the camp as well.
“Hopefully he can go back to West Ham and play there too.”
The 23-year-old has only made three Premier League appearances for West Ham.
Manuel Pellegrini loaned him to Charlton Athletic last summer and Cullen helped Lee Bowyer’s side win promotion to the Championship.
A lot of Hammers fans like him, but does he have a future in East London? It’s a difficult one because although he has bags of talent, this is a team who’ll be hoping to qualify for Europe next season.
To play regularly in that team, you have to be better than very good, but he will have a few months to impress Pellegrini and a good showing against Gibraltar tonight – if he plays – would do no harm.
