The talented Newcastle youngster has impressed on loan at Blackpool.

Scunthorpe United are reportedly interested in signing Newcastle youngster Sean Longstaff on loan in the January transfer window.
The midfielder has impressed on loan at Blackpool in the first half of the season as he has scored four times and provided five assists in League One.
Longstaff’s loan expires on January 6th and Blackpool are interested in extending the deal, but could face competition for the 20-year-old’s services from Scunthorpe, as reported by Chronicle Live.

An exciting prospect, Longstaff previously gained experienced while on loan at Kilmarnock but has especially thrived at Blackpool and has certainly proved that he is capable of making an impact in League One.
Newcastle could now face a difficult decision regarding Longstaff’s short-term future. Should he remain at Blackpool there is a good chance that he will continue to thrive, but making the switch to Scunthorpe midway through the campaign could be rather unsettling and there is a possibility that the momentum he has gained could grind to a halt.

Longstaff, a product of Newcastle’s academy, has yet to make his competitive senior debut for The Magpies but will hope that he can force his way into the first-team if he continues to impress out on loan.
