Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are delighted that former Anfield plyer Alberto Moreno will play against Manchester United in the Europa League final after his Villarreal side beat Arsenal.
Villarreal played out a goalless draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday evening.
The result means that the Yellow Submarine have reached the final of the competition 2-1 on aggregate, having won the first leg 2-1 at home in Spain last week.
The final against United will give former Liverpool left-back Moreno yet another chance to win the Europa League.
The 28-year-old Spain international left-back won the Europa League with Sevilla back in 2013-14 and was a runner-up in the same competition with Liverpool in 2015-16.
The Spain international became a free agent in the summer of 2019 after Liverpool released him, and the left-back subsequently moved to Spain and signed for Villarreal.
Moreno has not been a massive success at Villarreal and has had injury problems, but he will hope to help his side to victory in the final against United.

The left-back has made one start and one substitute appearance in La Liga and three substitute appearances in the Europa League this season.
The left-back was not particularly great in the final back in 2016, as his former club Sevilla hammered Liverpool 4-1.
Some Liverpool fans have wished Moreno the best of luck in the final and are pleased to see the left-back reach the final with Villarreal.
