Swansea City defender Connor Roberts was scouted by Celtic when Brendan Rodgers was in charge the Hoops and is now on the radar of Bournemouth, according to reports.
Connor Roberts was linked with a move to Celtic during the 2018-19 campaign, with The Express reporting in November 2018 that Brendan Rodgers was looking at the 23-year-old.
It was reported that Rodgers, who was then the manager of Celtic and is now in charge of Leicester City in the Premier League, was looking at Roberts as a possible replacement for Mikael Lustig.
The report claimed that Celtic were scouting the Wales international defender, who signed a new contract with the Swans just days after the rumour emerged.
The 23-year-old right-back will have been a very good signing for the Hoops in January and even in the January transfer window, but Celtic’s chance of landing him now seems to be over.
That’s because there is interest in the Welshman from Bournemouth in the Premier League, according to The Sun.
It has been reported by the British tabloid that Bournemouth are planning a £10 million move for Roberts.
The Cherries are an established himself in the Premier League, and Eddie Howe’s side could be very appealing to Roberts.
