Morecambe, Motherwell, Doncaster, Oldham Athletic and Tranmere Rovers are all all interested in signing Rangers forward Josh McPake on loan, according to a report.
The Independent claim that the Scotland under-21 star has gained a number of suitors following a successful loan stint with Harrogate Town in the second half of last season as he looks to force his way into Steven Gerrard’s first-team plans at Ibrox.
McPake, who has also had spells with Dundee and Morton, is still only 19 and has previously been hailed as having a “bright future” by Ibrox coach Michael Beale.
His time at Harrogate saw him make 23 appearances after joining in January, helping them finish 17th in League Two and win the FA Trophy.

Crucial season for Rangers youngster
A loan move away from Ibrox seems likely this season again for McPake and Motherwell would seem the most attractive option for a temporary move.
The chance to play regular football in the Scottish top-flight should really help prepare McPake for a push at first-team football at Rangers in the coming years.
With a year left on his Ibrox contract, McPake also needs to make sure he gets the right move at a crucial stage in his development.
A wasted season on loan could really impact his long-term chances at Rangers – and he doesn’t have to look far to see both the positive (Glenn Middleton & Stephen Kelly) and the negative (Jake Hastie).
