Scottie Scheffler has shared his early thoughts on Brian Rolapp and the decision by the new PGA Tour CEO to welcome Brooks Koepka back at the start of the season.
Brian Rolapp is expected to oversee some significant changes within the PGA Tour. There’s talk of a reduced schedule, potentially down to just 20 events in the coming years.
At the same time, he was faced with a delicate task: figuring out how to bring Brooks Koepka back into the fold after his stint with LIV Golf without causing issues among current players.
It appears Scottie Scheffler feels that Rolapp has done well so far in handling these challenges.
Scottie Scheffler shares first impressions of Brian Rolapp after initial meeting

Scheffler was asked about Rolapp’s impact since taking over midway through the 2025 season.
And it turns out that the world number one had some positive things to say about him. Here’s what he said:
“As far as Mr. Rolapp, I think he’s a guy that just kind of gets things done. That was my first impression of him. I met him last year at one of the playoff events. We sat down, and it was just, like just getting right into it. He started asking questions and we started talking.
“It was like no nonsense, like, we got an hour, let’s make the most of this hour. I loved it. I loved his demeanor, I thought he was a good guy.
“Seemed like a really hard worker. So he seems like just kind of like a no BS guy, just get in there, let’s get to work and figure this thing out.”
Scheffler also addressed how Rolapp handled Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour after leaving LIV Golf.
“You look at a situation like Brooks,” he said.
“That was something that Brooks had a desire to come back to the tour, and he’s a guy that provides a ton of value for the tour and for our fans and sponsors, and a guy that’s had a ton of success in the game of golf.
“And Rolapp’s like ‘okay he wants to come back, let’s figure out how to do this’, and then gets it done in a pretty quick fashion.”
Why Brian Rolapp looks to have handled the Brooks Koepka return well
Rolapp’s tenure will ultimately be judged by moves that are still to come, especially with so much speculation around what the future schedule will look like and how it’ll affect players across the Tour.
However, his approach to the Koepka situation was hard to fault. The PGA Tour would have done more harm than good by imposing a lengthy ban, even if some felt there should have been stricter consequences.
By giving Koepka a path back, Rolapp set an important precedent for others considering a return. And for LIV Golf, it served as a reminder not to take their top names for granted.
The decision was important for more than just one player; it showed a clear direction in how such situations will be handled going forward.
