Celtic are into the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup, after hammering Partick Thistle 5-0 at Parkhead on Wednesday night.

The Bhoys have won four of the last five Scottish League Cup finals, so there’s a reasonable expectation for Neil Lennon to go and win the trophy again this season.

Partick were standing in their way last night, but Celtic went 1-0 up through Vakoun Issouf Bayo, before the floodgates opened in the second half.

Tom Rogic added the second, Olivier Ntcham bagged a brace to make it 4-0, and Scott Sinclair came off the bench to score the fifth.

Celtic moved into the semi-finals without any trouble, and the game saw Sinclair remind fans of what he can do having become a Bhoys misfit.

Lennon has barely picked Sinclair since taking the job full time, and after many links to English clubs, the transfer window shut without him moving on.

Last night was only the fifth time Sinclair has played this season, and the first time since August 10th, and he has taken to Twitter today in order to react to his goal.

Sinclair admitted he has missed the feeling of scoring and celebrating at Parkhead, praising the reception he received from the Bhoys faithful, before offering a defiant message that he will ‘continue to keep fighting for this shirt’.
