Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic lost against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has revealed to The Glasgow Evening Times the mood in the dressing room after the defeat to Bayern Munich.

The Glasgow giants lost 2-1 to Bayern at Celtic Park in the Champions League Group B on Tuesday evening.

Brendan Rodgers’s side gave the German giants a run for their money and made it hard for the visiting team to pick up all three points.

Celtic were in the game until the very end and had actually equalised on 74 minutes.

Celtic winger Sinclair has revealed the atmosphere in the dressing room after the defeat to Bayern.

“There was silence in the changing room after the game,” Sinclair told The Glasgow Evening Times. “We were all just sitting there, head in our hands, feeling that we let it go through our fingers a little bit.”

Celtic could have earned a point from the encounter, and perhaps the players would consider themselves unlucky.

Although the Bhoys now do have any chance of progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League, they can still drop to the Europa League.

The Celtic players and fans should be proud of the performance against a Bayern team that could go on to win the Champions League this season.
