Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic side are expected to face stronger competition from both Glasgow Rangers and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Celtic’s Scott Sinclair
When speaking to reporters, Hoops forward Scott Sinclair responded to a question asking him who would be their main challengers in the Scottish Premiership next term, and refused to mention fierce rivals Rangers, broadcast on Sky Sports’ Premier League Daily programme at 09:39 am, on Thursday June 22nd.
Celtic ran away with the league title last season, finishing with 106 points from 38 games played, 30 points clear of second placed Aberdeen, and a further nine in front of the Gers.
Pedro Caixinha has made a whole host of new signings at Ibrox this summer, however, and many expect them to be far more competitive during this upcoming campaign.
Sinclair though, failed to name Rangers, when asked who the Hoops’ main challengers will be next term, broadcast on Sky Sports at 09:39 am on June 22nd:

“I think everyone will be trying to beat us. Because we went unbeaten last year, I think everyone will be coming out of the blocks and ready to stop our unbeaten run. I’m sure Aberdeen will be up there.”
The former Aston Villa and Chelsea man played a crucial role in Celtic’s successful campaign last term, scoring 21 goals in 35 league outings.
And he will be hoping to continue where he left off for Brendan Rodgers’ side, when they kick off their pre-season campaign against Rapid Vienna on July 1st.
