Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers leapfrogged Celtic in the Scottish Premiership table on Sunday.

Scott Sinclair has told The Scottish Sun that Celtic will use Rangers’ league position as motivation to usurp Steven Gerrard’s side.
While Celtic were preparing for their League Cup final with Aberdeen at Hampden Park, the Gers made the most of their opportunity and beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle to move top of the Scottish Premiership for first time under Gerrard.
Rangers are one point ahead of the Hoops – who have a game in hand – and Sinclair, who earns £25,000 per week at Parkhead [Daily Star], told The Scottish Sun that the Blues’ win simply incentivises Brendan Rodgers’s side to put them in their place.
The 29-year-old, who helped Celtic to a seventh successive trophy under Rodgers yesterday, said: “Rangers going top of the table because we were playing in the final is good motivation for us.
“Now it’s all about us being relentless and keeping going.
“The work doesn’t stop. We have another game at Motherwell on Wednesday so we’ll just keep battling on.”
On Wednesday, Gerrard’s troops host a wounded Aberdeen side at Ibrox, following the Dons’ 1-0 defeat by Celtic on the big stage yesterday, while the Bhoys visit Motherwell.
Being top of the Premiership is unchartered territory for Rangers and it’ll be interesting to see if the Bears revel in the pressure or buckle under it.
